On January 14, 2017, 3 Little Cupcakes Cafe opened their doors in Lomita, Ca. The concept of 3 Little Cupcakes Cafe was simple, to bake the freshest gourmet desserts while bringing that small old fashioned bakery charm and personal service to the South Bay. 3 Little Cupcakes Café is a family owned business and reflects that in the name. 3 Little Cupcakes Cafe was developed after Ron and Ofelia Van De Vanter’s 3 Children, Siena, Preston and Savannah. The Van De Vanter family has been part of the South Bay community for over 50 years and knew that the first 3 Little Cupcakes Café had to be part of that community.
After starting their family with their 3 children, Ofelia decided to leave the corporate world to become a stay at home mom to raise their children. Once the children were able to attend school Ofelia decided to pursue her dreams of Entrepreneurship and her passion for baking. Ofelia’s experience as a Project Manager in the corporate world led her to start a successful baking company called The Old Fashioned Cookie Jar and Sweet Shoppe, while being a stay at home mom. Ofelia’s homebased company flourished and had many loyal customers. With her many years of baking experience and her recipes that she developed for her homemade treats, she knew it was time to expand her business into a small retail shop.
3 Little Cupcakes Café believes in giving back to the community which is why we participate and give to events at schools, churches and charities.
